In 1979, Jerry McLauchlin formed FMC Construction.
For the next seven years, Jerry acted as President of FMC and built
the company into a successful general contracting firm building
virtually every type of commercial construction project.
In 1986, the company had grown substantially and the name was
changed to J. McLauchlin & Company to capitalize on Jerry's
numerous acquaintances throughout the southeast. Over the next few
years J. McLauchlin & Company developed and constructed numerous
medical facilities for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and
thus began their specialization into the field of medical construction.
The company achieved significant growth in the late ninety's by
their ability to recruit highly qualified personal, by keeping up
with the latest technology, and their uncompromising focus on quality.
Jerry McLauchlin is passionate about doing business in an honest

private and public entities throughout the Southeast United States.

While the company has enjoyed steady growth in the medical industry,
it has also entered into all areas of commercial construction, such
as, banking and financial institutions, hotels, assisted living
facilities, parking garages, industrial and professional offices.
J. McLauchlin & Company maintains bonding capacity through
Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company with an AM Best Rated Company
of A,XV. Although our bonding capacity is large enough to handle
any project we elect to undertake and are often not required to
provide bonding due to our strength and excellent reputation.
